On October 20, the International Marketing Symposium “M35” began, organized by the Tec of Monterrey. This year, the renowned event brought together managers and well-known personalities with experience in retailing and shopper and social tools. Leading organizations such as Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Nike, Nielsen, and Sintec, among other international companies, were on the agenda, and more than 300 attendees gathered on the Monterrey campus.
On behalf of Sintec, Horacio Gómez, Practice Director, presented the topic, “Retailer vs. Manufacturer: The Challenges of Business Relations in the Modern Mexican Channel.” As practice director, he exemplified a broad vision of work performed by manufacturers and retailers, presenting different focuses of the modern channel, and explained how their interaction has evolved.
He also emphasized that a topic of great relevance is the formation of a valuable offer consistent with the needs of supermarket and department stores on the part of the manufacturers.
He ended by presenting the new model of collaborative management proposed by Sintec, that seeks an assurance that the value elements for the retailer are provided by the manufacturer with excellence, indicating the complexity that this creates in trying to globalize all operations of an organization under the same objective and the importance of working in that unit to achieve success.
