As a part of the Sintec SER (Socially and Ecologically Responsible) program, the business consulting company Sintec contributes along with the Mexican Association of Food Banks (AMBA in its Spanish acronym) in a new project that strengthens the fight against food poverty in Mexico.
In 2010, it was reported that there were almost 52 million people in multidimensional poverty situations in Mexico, and the number of Mexicans lacking adequate food is almost 28 million.
This organization affects 1.3 million Mexicans, and Sintec is seeking to boost this impact by providing its knowledge and expertise in the creation and implementation of customized strategies to different key points in AMBA’s supply chain. They are planning the inputs and outputs of food, distribution, placement, and gathering conditions. The desired goal is to achieve optimization of logistics, reducing the complexities that are in the daily processes
By focusing on each stage that makes up the operational part of the organization, Sintec will allow AMBA to deliver the food from the donor to the people who need it the most, at the lowest possible cost.
“We are proud to contribute to feeding the Mexican community; we believe in the need to bring awareness of social responsibility, and we hope to send this message via actions and projects like this.”
