Bogota, Colombia. – This past Thursday, December 1, Sintec, a leading consulting firm for creating profitable growth and developing competitive advantage through client and operational strategies, presented its Colombian Strategic Perspective event. This half-day event was a meeting exclusively for upper management from leading companies in Colombia, and took place in Bogota at the El Nogal Club facilities.

The event began with a discussion led by Roberto Palacios, a Sintec partner, who spoke on the topic, “Developing the Value Chain: Growth and Profitability for leading Colombian Companies.” Palacios presented a study conducted by Sintec on the best companies in the region. According to this study, less than 30% of the 153 leading companies in Latin America actually achieve their objectives of growth and profitability due to the complexity that growth implies. He emphasized establishing an integral client and operational strategy that supports and moves the business model in a profitable way. He concluded by saying that the three key elements for sustainable growth are: a clear focus, an alignment of commercial and operational resources, and the development of organizational capacities.

Afterwards, Pedro Blanco, Operations Manager of Noel, presented his success story: “Evolution and Challenges in the Value Network.” His presentation focused on a short trip into the future where he explained how external forces and industry trends will lead to the evolution of the value network, internally as well as externally. He commented that new value network executives must learn about best practices and competitor models as well as about companies in different industries.

And lastly, Luis Enrique Fajardo, Logistics Solutions Manager at DHL, presented the success story, “Sustainable Growth via the Supply Chain: Trends and Options.” Fajardo spoke about international commerce perspectives and the logistics problems inherent in that environment.
